Endowing
a scholarship is committing to build a fund of at least $10,000.
Planned gifts such as life insurance, bequests, and trusts may
also be used to fund the endowment.
As
a donor, you may specify a grade point average, national achievement
score, financial need, or area of study for your scholarship's
recipients. You may even wish to restrict applicants to those
from your hometown or county. You may also choose to have your
recipients selected by the Foundations scholarship committee
or by an academic department.
