Study Central
Are you looking for a coffee shop atmosphere to work on homework between classes? Would you like an informal, academic environment to study for an exam with friends? Are you sometimes stumped by an assignment and would like some assistance from an instructor outside of class? Do you need some information about a student support service and don't know where to go? If so, Study Central is the perfect place for you.
The Writing Center is also housed in Study Central
Study Central Is.
- Always staffed with a faculty member (instructor or counselor) who is there to assist students.
- A comfortable environment for students to study or work on homework in small groups or individually.
- An information hub for all student services. ALL staff will be trained on how to best refer students to appropriate service.
- A place where academic inquiry/dialogue is modeled and encouraged.
- Designed to increase retention, especially first-time freshmen.
- Equipped with Internet access for research or class-related assignments.
Study Central Is NOT…
