Supplemental Instruction
- Courses designated as SI courses offer a trained Supplemental Instruction Leader who attends class each day, takes detailed notes, and then conducts study sessions outside of class.
- The SI leader is the model student. He or she is typically a student who has already completed a course with that instructor. The SI leader knows what to expect and what is expected from the instructor.
- The study sessions are designed by the SI leader to reinforce some of the more difficult concepts as presented in class.
- The SI leader illustrates the techniques as presented b the instructor in order to avoid student confusion.
SI Sessions are only for those students enrolled in sections offering Supplemental Instruction. Students should look for pre-determined SI courses in the schedule of courses.
